Entry fees for students

What does it cost to enter ICAS?

Entry fees vary depending on whether your child’s school participates in ICAS.

These are the three options for entering the ICAS competition, giving you flexibility to participate.

1. Through your child’s school

Entry fees are set by ICAS and your child’s school decides how to collect payment from you.

Entry fees are per test, per child, and include GST for ANZ.

How payment works if your child’s school is participating

Schools can choose one option and will notify you of what to do next.

parent with girl

Schools provide a Parent Payment System (PPS) code to you, which you use to enrol and pay for your child’s entry.

teacher

Schools enrol and pay for students’ entries, then decide whether to pass the cost onto you.

2. Through an ICAS testing centre

Entry fees for sitting ICAS exams at an Australian testing centre are as follows:

  • All subjects (exc. Writing): AU$57.75
  • Writing: AU$62.75

Your entry fee covers all venue and supervision costs, so there’s nothing extra to organise.

3. Through an authorised ICAS partner

If you’re outside Australia or New Zealand, your child may be able to participate in the ICAS tests through one of our authorised partners.

Fees for ICAS through these partners are set by the provider themselves and may vary. Please contact them directly for fee information.
